American Apparel In Troubled Water

After it was discovered that roughly 1,600 of American Apparel's employees were working in the US illegally, a lawyer for the company says that 1,500 (10% of the entire staff) are going to be out of a job. While Dov is super bummed out, don't worry because the company says the "loss won't have a "significant impact" on the brand's productivity, because no one's shopping so they have a bunch of merchandise lying around anyway and don't need any more."

Woody Allen v. American Apparel

Jicydk, Woody Allen sued American Apparel last year for $10 million for using a still from the film Annie Hall on billboards in LA and NY without permission.

I was excited for a knock-down-drag-out brawl between Allen and Charney. The anticipation was building, and then... settled. The company has agreed to pay Allen $5 Million. Are you afraid of Woody or somethin, Dov? Grow a pair! And Woody, $10 million?! Are you kidding me? You should be THANKING Dov for giving you this sweet little payday.
