Marc Jacobs + Posh = Arrested

A man in Dubai was jailed after the controversy caused by his t-shirt, on which was a semi-nude Victoria Beckham. The Marc Jacobs tee was one of a series done to raise money for an NYU skin cancer research project. Raffi Nernekian was jailed officially for "offending public decency." Come on guys, a little Posh Spice never hurt anyone.

Ana Sui For Target

Pictures of Ana Sui's line for Target have surfaced, and boy do they look good. The collection, which will be on sale September 13 through October 17th, is inspired by one of the best shows ever, Gossip Girl. Sui even sectioned off the collection into groups designed specifically for 'Lil J, Blair, Serena and Vanessa. Looks like I'll be taking a dash of Blair and a bit of Serena, thx.

Update :(

This might be jumping the gun, since TMZ seems to be the only source reporting it conclusively, but apparently doctors were unable to resuscitate Michael at the UCLA Medical Center today. In his own words I find myself asking,"why did you have to go, and leave my world so cold?"

Maybe this will help you sleep tonight...

...or not.

The September Issue: You'll Have To Wait 'Til September

Since its debut at Sundance, anticipation has continued to build for the September 11 release of R.J. Cutler's documentary, The September Issue, which follows Anna Wintour and the Vogue staff for the 9 months leading up to the September 2007 issue. Now that a trailer has been leaked, we can finally have a little taste. If you ask me, Andre Leon Talley will emerge as the real star.

Kleberg, Tx: Krazy B

So this is apparently an old story, but I recently caught wind of it, listening to my fav radio show, Wait Wait...Don't Tell Me. In 1997, the county of Kleberg, TX outlawed "hello" and adopted "heaven-o" as its official greeting. Leonso Canales Jr. convinced the town that "hello" was too negative because it contained the word 'hell.' He wanted to teach the children that the townspeople are "positive adults."

Are you kidding me, Texas?

Alexander McQueen and Proenza Schouler: Use Creepy Films To Show Collections

Both Alexander McQueen and Proenza Schouler have chosen to utilize video in the showing of recent collections. Alexander McQueen will debut his Spring 2010 Menswear line in a freaky-art film directed by David Sims while, not to be outdone, Proenza Schouler has incorporated a film, starring video artist Kalup Linzy, in the unveiling of their Spring 2010 pre-collection at Pitti W in Florence.

GaGa Moments

Lady Gaga: "I am so often puzzled (by journalists). Sometimes they go, 'So what's this all about? ... What do you look like when you go home? Do you dress like this all the time?' It's rude! It's not nice ... (Lady Gaga) is who I am. Me and my hair bow, we go to bed together. She sleeps where I sleep."

Bravo TV Grants My Wishes

You're GD right Bravo is bringing back The Rachel Zoe Project for it's second season! Premiering August 25th, I can only hope the season will answer all the burning questions keeping me up at night since last season. Will Brad finally get slapped? How many times will Rach die? Is it possible for Taylor to be a bigger bitch? IDK?!?!

Out With The Old!

In order to spend more time with her husband and children (ugh gimme a break, lady), Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, has retired as director of special events at Vogue. The magazine wasted no time in naming her successor, Sylvana Soto-Ward, former accessories editor. Among her responsibilities is the short order of planning of the Met Ball, no biggie! Good luck, Sylvana! My words of advice; stay true to the spirit of Vogue and pretend the recession isn't happening!

That's two days too many without the internet, Elgol!

Bathtubs

I'm not a big fan of taking baths, it's like soaking in your own filth according to amy and djv, but some bathtubs can be pretty rad.

Here are some other ways to use a tub that are non-traditional, but still functional.

Are You Ready...

...for this book about posh pups? I am! But we have to wait 'til September. Guess what else is in September? My birthday!

Style Profile: Nina Persson

Nina Persson is the fabulous front-woman of one of my favorite bands, The Cardigans, one of the million awesome things to come out of Sweden. She kicked off her US tour last night with her side project, A Camp, and chatted with Refinery 29 about her ever-changing-always-fabulous style.

How would you describe your personal style?
"I'm trying to be crazy, but my style probably almost always remains pretty classical. More retro than super-trendy. And never any colors, I use a grayscale, rust, nude, silver and gold."

Check out the rest of the interview here.

Yesteday's Adventure

Yesterday we drove around the southern part of the island. Starting in Elgol, we drove up to Broadford , through Kyleakin and road the Glenelg Ferry across to the mainland. The Glenelg Ferry is the last turntable ferry in all of Europe and was bought by the community after the owner decided to retire and put the ferry up for sale in 2004.

After crossing over into Glenelg, we drove up to Kyle of Lochalsh and made a couple stops along the way.

Checked out the Five Sisters of Kintail.

Stopped off at the Eilean Donan Castle where they had these (look familiar, Chad)...

We crossed the Skye Bridge and headed back home!
